The African Public Procurement Network (APPN) is a continental platform promoting collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing to strengthen public procurement systems across Africa.Under the 2025 theme “Transforming Public Procurement in Africa through Innovation, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Regional Collaboration” APPN advances transparency, good governance, and sustainable development through modern, inclusive, and cooperative procurement practices.

PRAZ electronic Government Procurement (eGP) System
The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) introduced the electronic Government Procurement (eGP) System to enhance transparency, efficiency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness in public procurement. The system was launched by His Excellency, President Cde Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa, on 23 October 2023 marking the commencement of a pilot phase. The rollout aimed to have all procuring entities (PE’s), including Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, fully onboarded by January 2024, revolutionizing public procurement in Zimbabwe.
